Subsplash Events belong inside Subsplash Calendars. An Event is the individual entry: a Sunday service, a men's breakfast, a baptism night. A Calendar is the container that groups related events for a specific audience.
The important thing to understand is how Events display in the app. They are not a traditional month grid. They render as visual cards with a graphic, a title, a time, and a location. That means every event competes on its cover art, so lean into that on purpose.
Feature the special stuff. Baptism weekend, the Christmas Eve service, the mission trip info night, the new members class. Give each one a real graphic. Members scroll cards the way they scroll social feeds, and the ones with intention will get the taps.
Do not try to render your whole recurring schedule as Event cards. Weekly small groups and standing services drown out the special moments if you card every single occurrence. Use recurring events sparingly, and keep the calendar visually clean.
If your church needs a true grid view, embed an iCal from SnapPages inside a Link or a web page inside the app. That gives you both experiences. Cards for what should stand out. Grid for the members who want a full month at a glance.
