Almost everything you build in a Subsplash app comes down to four tools. Lists, Links, Media, and Events. If you understand those four and how they relate to each other, you can build a clean, usable app without ever feeling lost in the dashboard.
Lists are the folders. They hold and organize other content. A Media list, a Links list, a mixed list that shows a hero graphic, three shortcuts, and a featured series all together. Lists are how you shape the actual layout your members scroll through.
Links are the connectors. They point at anything: a website page, a form, an in app screen, a phone number, an external URL. When you need to send someone somewhere from a tab, a card, or a button, that is a Link.
Media is your video and audio library. Sermons, podcast episodes, teaching series, kids content, worship playlists. Everything watchable and listenable lives here, and it is what most people open the app for.
Events is your calendar system. Services, gatherings, kids events, small groups, one off nights. Events display as visual cards inside a Subsplash Calendar, which changes how you think about featuring them.
The next four lessons take each one in order. Media first, because that is where most engagement happens. Then Events, Links, and Lists. Once you can use all four with intent, the app stops feeling like a mystery and starts feeling like a system.
